The Meaning and Evolution of the Mongolian Word 'Tsai' and the Chinese Word 'Cha'

The Mongolian and Chinese words "cai" originally came from the same word, but over the course of usage, the meaning of the word expanded and developed into the meaning of the word expanded and developed into polyseme due to the cultural differences between the two nations.
The aim is to highlight the knowledge, customs, and values of the two nations through the group of words related to tea that have emerged in the vocabulary of both languages. According to research, since the Chinese were the first to cultivate tea, they have words for each stage of the tea leaf's growth, while Mongolians are tea consumers, so they have different words for different types of tea.

Хураангуй: Монгол, хятад хэлний “цай” / “茶” нь ижил гаралтай, анх утга нэгтэй байсан хэдий ч хэрэглээний явцад хоёр үндэстний түүх, соёлын ялгаанаас шалтгаалан утга, хэрэглээ нь өргөжиж, тус тусын өвөрмөц соёлын онцлогийг шингээсэн хэл зүйн болон утга зүй хөгжлийн сууриа тавьжээ. Мөн “茶” / “цай” гэдэг үгээс олон төрлийн үг гарч, утга хэлбэр нь тус тусад нь хөгжсөн байдаг. Үүгээр дамжуулан хоёр ард түмний амьдралын хэв маяг, сэтгэлгээ, үнэт зүйлсийг илтгэх соёлын ялгааг тодорхойлон харж болох юм.
