Professor Erdenebilig's Role of Research for Folk Songs

Abstract

Erdenebilig, a professor at Northwest University of the People’s Republic of China, a researcher of oral literature and etiquette, is a tireless worker and eternal seeker who has dedicated his entire life to academic research, absorbing various knowledge and experiences and guiding dozens of scholars along the way. He is a reliable pillar of Mongol studies. Scholar Erdenebilig's research in the field of oral literature, etiquette and education is in the focus of Mongolian scholars around the world, and his scientific works and articles on this topic are widely cited and already well known in academic and cultural circles. In this paper, we will focus on Professor Erdenebilig's research on Oirat folk songs. He conducted research on Oirat folk songs not only in Mongolia but also in Xinjiang, Hokhnuur, Gansu, Alshaa, Ezne and other countries, and explored the origins of folk songs in ancient historical sources and legends. He not only examined in detail the features of Oirat folk song titles, singing skills and customs, but also carefully described the features of folk songs of each of the many Oirat ethnic groups: in addition, he divided Oirat folk songs into songs on work or labor, historical songs, songs, for weddings and festival, everyday or lifestyle songs, lullabies and songs of suffering. He also conducted extensive research on the ethnic features of Oirat folk songs, the features of their melody and mentality, the expressive means of Oirat folk songs and the structure of folk songs, Savardan songs and dances, horse color and legends in Oirat folk songs, Oirat folk songs and camel culture. As an ancient Indian legend says "When a beauty steps on a dry tree, flowers and fruits grow on its branches", anyone who follows the path, teachings and instructions of Professor Erdenebilig, who enlightens people, will be honored as a person blessed with the fruits of wisdom, as if he received the gift of eternal youth. Thanks to his extraordinary mind, he was honored as a deeply specialized scholar of the Oirat's folk song study.

Хураангуй: Бид энэ өгүүлэлдээ профессор Эрдэнэбилигийн ойрад ардын дууны судалгааг онцлон авч үзсэн болно. Ойрад ардын дууны судалгааны тоймыг Монгол улс төдийгүй Шинжаан, Хөхнуур, Гансьу, Алшаа, Эзнээ болон бусад улс орны хүрээнд гаргаж, ардын дууны үүслийг эртний түүхэн сурвалж, домгоос эрж хайсан байна. Ойрад ардын дууны нэрийн онцлог хийгээд дуулах ур мэргэжил, ёс заншлыг нарийвчлан авч үзсэн төдийгүй ойрадын олон угсаатан тус бүрийн ардын дууны онцлогийг тодорхой гаргажээ. Түүнчлэн ойрад ардын дууг сэдэв агуулгын хүрээнд хөдөлмөрийн дуу, түүхт дуу, найр хуримын дуу, аж байдлын дуу, бүүвэйн дуу, хохир дуу гэж хуваан судалжээ. Мөн ойрад ардын дууны үндэстний шинж, хөг ая хийгээд сэтгэлгээний онцлог, ойрад ардын дууны илтгэх арга хийгээд ардын дууны бүтэц, савардан дуу бүжиг, ойрад ардын дуун дахь морины зүсэм, өгүүлэмж ойрад ардын дуу хийгээд тэмээн соёл гэсэн өргөн хүрээнд судалгаа хийсэн байна.
