This manuscript was prepared by the authors, and all intellectual content, analysis, interpretation
of data, and conclusions are solely the responsibility of the authors. Generative AI tools
(ChatGPT, GPT-5, or similar) were used only for language editing and improving readability of
the text. The AI tools were not used for generating scientific content, analysis, or conclusions.
All content was critically reviewed, validated, and approved by the authors before submission.

Manuscript Processing and Peer Review
Process Overview
Manuscript processing consists of three main stages: Scientific peer review, English language
editing, and compliance with technical publishing requirements.

Peer Review Process
Central Asian Medical Journal of Sciences employs a double-blind peer-review system, in
which the identities of both reviewers and authors are concealed throughout the process. All
submitted manuscripts undergo rigorous evaluation in consultation with the editorial board and
three independent external reviewers.
In appointing reviewers, the journal typically engages:
- One to two subject-matter experts in the relevant scientific discipline
- A biostatistics specialist
- A member of the editorial board

This ensures a comprehensive and rigorous assessment of each manuscript.

Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on:
- Relevance to the aim and scope of the journal
- Originality, novelty, and significance
- Scientific methodology and approach
- Overall contribution and importance
- Compliance with journal requirements (figures, tables, references etc)
- Academic and scientific writing quality, including English proficiency
- Relevance of discussion and conclusions to the results and content

Reviewer comments and decisions are returned to authors as promptly as possible; each review
round may take up to three weeks. The number of review rounds varies depending on manuscript
quality and the extent of revisions required. Decisions may be to accept, reject, or request
revisions. Revisions may be major or minor and should typically be completed within 3–4
weeks.

English Language Editing
After the peer review is accepted, manuscripts undergo English editing, which involves:
- Substantive editing – improving clarity, structure, and argumentation
- Copyediting – correcting grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style
- Proofreading – identifying and correcting remaining errors

Our experienced editors perform a detailed revision, improving language, logic, structure, flow,
and presentation. After approval of the English edits by the authors, the manuscript proceeds to
the production stage in preparation for publication.

Publishing
Once accepted for publication, manuscripts are published as quickly as possible. To ensure a
smooth workflow and compliance with formatting requirements, the corresponding author must
complete the necessary steps, including reviewing proofs and responding to editorial queries
within the requested timeframe.
