In recent years, high-tech advantages have become an important factor not only in determining development but also in ensuring the strength and security of a country. In the mining and mineral market, critical minerals and rare earth elements are among the fastest growing sectors, and the market size is expected to expand rapidly. Therefore, in order to maintain their technological advantages, developed countries have tried to control the acquisition, exploration, extraction and enrichment of strategic or critical minerals and rare earth elements that are especially useful for their industry and energy sectors, which has increased geopolitical competition between major powers.
